Core Curriculum

The Core Curriculum is a unique and central component of the BFA Online High School academic program, embodying the main principles of the school’s mission. English

Academic Course And Graduation Requirements

Students must take an equivalent of 16 full-year courses, or 16 units comprising the following:

English： 4 years / 4 units
Languanges： 2 years / 20 units of the same language; 3 or more years strongly recommended
Mathematics：4 years / 4 units
Social Sciences：3 years / 30 units, including 1 year of U.S. History
Natural Sciences：3 years / 30 units
Additional Coursework：4 years / 2 units, which may include courses from the areas noted here or from Film Studies, Music, and Art

As part of these requirements, students must enroll in one Core class each high-school year to receive an Online High School diploma. These requirements are for students in grades 9 through 12 who intend to graduate from BFA Online High School.
